The Man From Atlantis came to the She Codes studio needing a Corporate Identity and Digital Presence establishing. Phase one was to develop a logo and then launch a responsive website. Phase two will involve creating a series of promotional videos. These will then be used to kick start a Social Media Marketing Campaign to raise awareness and generate interest in the niche services offered by The Man From Atlantis.
She Codes worked closely with The Man From Atlantis to create a simple logo and strapline for the business. Once the logo had been chosen, She Codes then looked at its application, working on establishing a Branding Guidelines document covering the use of fonts, colour, style of photography and tone of communication. This is important so that we can make sure all marketing activity is cohesive and works well to create a strong brand identity for The Man From Atlantis.
It goes without saying that the website needed to be responsive. This stood the website in good stead for Google’s announcement in February 2015 that non mobile-friendly websites would drop from the search results being delivered to people using their phones to access the internet.
The website was built using WordPress as the chosen CMS, and a custom theme was developed from scratch. The client has no knowledge of coding and sparse experience of using social media, so it was really important that the day to day running of the site was made as painless as possible. She Codes paid close attention to the design and build of the administration interface with clear labels and instructions in each section, making editing as intuitive as possible.
The site is very simple at present but templates have been put in place ready for the client to expand the site at a later stage with minimal costs moving forward.
